Can someone please describe in detail exactly what these terms mean?
Accelerator is the other one, I know what that is, but what is the difference between this and the others? Ive always wondered.

FYI and FWIW, you can NOT advertise a tanning lotion with the word "accelerator". Many of the lotion firms have been slapped with 'cease and desist' orders from the FDA. Any lotion ad containing the word accelerator, according to the FDA, denotes that the lotion is a drug and can change the composition of the skin and must be FDA approved before use.

accelerators are for beginner tanners without a base tan. they help build a faster,goldenn-brown base tan.
maximizers are for advanced tanners with a base tan. they help to acheive a deeper, darker tan.
extenders are for all tanners. they help to preserve, protect, and extend results.
those are the only steps that i'm aware of......hope it helps
