Question blotchy tan legs?? plz help

Hi, this is my first post, but I came here cause I have a little bit of a tanning dilemma. I just started tanning this spring at the beginning of May and I have noticed recently that I have a blotchy tan in most areas. It is mainly on my stomach and mostly noticeable on my legs. I have been tanning every spring and summer for five years now, this is the first time I can recall this happening. Even though I have received plenty of compliments and my boyfriend swears its only noticeable if you look closely. But it bothers me and I would really like to fix it. I don't think its any serious skin condition cause I have looked up information.
I usually exfoliate with a body scrub and gloves once a week, and I always moisturize after showers once or twice a day. I have been using a bronzer lotion "Hot Pursuit".
Can anyone suggest anything? Or know the cause & how to develop an even tan??
thanks for reading.

I guess those that you tan don't have this problem..its only the tan on you right??

So you spray tan others successfully...who spray tans you??
Do you do it or does your boyfriend?

Sounds to me like shes using the beds.

Look at this thread- sounds like tinea versicolor.

We carry Arrest sunspot treatment for clients that have it.

Re: blotchy tan legs?? plz help

it also could be that your skin may not be reacting well to a hot lotion. try a few packs of lotion that is not hot, use the whole thing and put it on as evenly as possible and see if that helps. as well, your skin may not require a bronzer and is "kicking it out". You do not need a bronzer to develop a good tan. I would even try just acellerators/maximizers w/o bronzers for about a week and see if that helps.

I tan in the level 2 stand-ups at the salon. I have never done a spray tan.

i think what is happening is your using a bronzer, which is high quality self tanner, and you are scrubbing it off when you exfoliate. i agree that you should just use an accelerator..try that and see if you achieve a more even color.

Thanks for your response, yes I think so to. I did one tanning session with a tingle non bronzer lotion it has all ready started to clear up a little. Go figure I exfoliated to not have dry skin and have a beautiful even tan and I still end up with imperfections. lol For now on I'll stick to non bronzers.

Re: blotchy tan legs?? plz help

Generic tingle lotions do this. Switch to a nontingle.
