Need help with Wolff series II mdl WSS-24

I just purchased a mdl WSS-24 bed. I was told it was 220 volt but label says it can be 220 or 110 the pig tail only has 2 wires. I pulled the cover and continuity tested the wires. Internally the wires are brown and blue. How do I tell the voltage? How do I make it 110? Is there a manual available? I can't locate one on web. The brown wire goes to a small board that has 3 wires going to timer and 2 wires going to the main terminal block. The blue wire goes directly to the terminal block. Thanks For any help.

Re: Need help with Wolff series II mdl WSS-24

Brown and blue are typically used on Euro units. It is 220-240VAC. It will run on a 20 amp circuit. It would not run on a standard 110 outlet and cannot ne converted to do so. The label probably reads 2x 110 volt which is 220 volts.

You will need to install a dedicated circuit.

Re: Need help with Wolff series II mdl WSS-24

Thanks Brian,
I have bed connected to a dedicated circuit. I checked voltage between the brown and blue wires it measures 230v But unit doesn't power up. The small board that has the brown wire connected to it has a small magnetic relay i removed cover and closed contacts and was able to get timer to power on but unit still does not power up. Is there any info available on troubleshooting online I have not found any? Thanks Again.

when you close the relay check the voltage coming out you probably are seeing a big drop and that is why it is not powering up, either increase the voltage or change the relay as it might be bad, had one do the same thing and increased the voltage and it is fine now

^^^Nah.

Look for a socket for a remote timer. It will probably need a jumper installed for stand alone operation.
