RAVE LAMPS VS. COSMEDICO

"SALESMAN" AT HEARTLAND TELLS ME THAT THEIR RAVE 160R PLUS F73 WILL WORK GREAT IN MY HEX'S. I'VE ALREADY TOLD HIM THAT THE HEX'S ARE HARD ON LAMPS AND THAT I ONLY GET 300 HOURS OUT OF COSMEDICO VHR TT'S AND 9K90'S. HE SAYS I'LL GET A GOOD 600 HOURS FROM THE RAVE....SOUNDS TO GOOD TO BE TRUE, SO I PASSED. HAS ANYONE HEARD ANYTHING GOOD ABOUT THOSE LAMPS? I'M LOOKING FOR SOMETHING THAT WILL GIVE AT LEAST 500 HOURS HOURS OF USEFULL LIFE!!!!

Re: RAVE LAMPS VS. COSMEDICO

I got them and I have had a lot of good responses from my clients. They love them. Don't know much about the hex beds though. Anyway, I think they are great!

Re: RAVE LAMPS VS. COSMEDICO

HEX units in my opinion is very hard to find a lamp that will last. They eat up everything. If you find a lamp that will work for 600 hours please let everyone know.. I think the Rave lamp will do great for you as far as results but as far as longevity I really don't believe they will last 600 hours. As a matter of fact I would bet on it. The Rave lamp is great don't get me wrong but it won't last 600 hours. Still will lite but won't tan. I've tried the following and were lucky to get 400 out of them in there different Hex units.

Wolff Solarium VHO
New Technology
Light Source
Cosmedico
Radiance
Even Interelectric

Nothing seems to work well for longevity. Good Luck

Re: RAVE LAMPS VS. COSMEDICO

Kinda pointless to make tanning equipment that DOESN'T work with tanning lamps.

The Rave lamps will hold up better than the VHR TT's.

600 no way, maybe 450

Re: RAVE LAMPS VS. COSMEDICO

Aren't Rave lamps actually PL Light Source lamps.

Better off just getting the LS lamp cheaper from John at URI.
